Six months ago, I started building what I call McKinsey for AI.
Tenex is an AI transformation and engineering firm helping companies go from AI-absent to AI-native. It's 100% bootstrapped and the fastest-growing business I've ever started.
Why Tenex Exists
Most engineering organizations are still six to twelve months behind in adopting the best tooling available today. We don't think most companies are going to be resourced to cross the chasm from pre-AI to post-AI. Tenex exists to be the household name that helps them get there.
The deadly cofounder combo is one technical killer and one distribution killer. Arman Hezarkhani makes sure we hire the best engineers in the world, and I make sure we speedrun relevance through exceptional content.
What We Do
AI Strategy - We conduct holistic audits to identify your most compelling AI use cases. No 200-slide strategy decks. No 6-month diagnostics. No strategy without implementation.
AI Transformation - Custom partnerships combining change management, AI tooling, and baseline metrics to drive measurable ROI. We go into companies hunting for ways to save or make them money using AI.
AI Engineering - Outcome-based, subscription-style engineering squads. You pay for features delivered, not hours logged. We've changed how engineers are paid (like salespeople), which has unlocked access to incredible talent.
Our Approach
The best businesses copy 90% and innovate on the last mile. Our last mile has been changing how engineers are compensated based on outcomes.
I view AI today as an incredible junior employee that, just like a great junior employee, is high agency and high effort. Until that changes, we're enjoying working on this problem.
Partnerships
We've partnered with Vercel to support their customers with AI engineering needs. I've been a Vercel fangirl since we used their products at Morning Brew, and it turns out most of our engineers are too.
We also run Applied, a weekly event series making AI more approachable and actionable for professionals at all levels.
